Lubit is an Italian project that aims to provide a Linux distribution designed for older computers. It is currently based on Ubuntu.
The first versione, Lubit 1.0.6, was made available in May 2013.
Currently the available version is 4.0, code name Eagle.
Based on ubuntu 14.04. Lubit 4 LTS will be supported for 5 years.
Lubit 4.0 is a minimalist distro, rebuilt around openbox, simple, light, fast and (almost) completely in Italian. Engages to 110 MB of RAM at startup when installed on hd.
